Data Engineering Manager - Remote​/Hybrid

10 is currently seeking a Data Engineering Manager for a remote or hybrid position with a Financial Services Consulting Firm located in Scottsdale, AZ or Raleigh, NC. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. Compensation: $150.00 - $160.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview:

In this role, you will manage and mentor a team of data engineers and BI developers. The focus will be on maturing the data platform, establishing governance, and supporting business needs through a period of growth and organizational change. The ideal candidate will be a deeply technical data leader, capable of guiding the team away from reactive work and toward a stable, scalable data architecture utilizing the Microsoft Azure stack.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a team consisting of data engineers and Power BI reports developers Establish and oversee data architecture, governance, and platform business strategy Shift the team from a reactive, fire-fighting mode to proactive development Partner with the AI Lead to understand how data can be AI-enabled and provide technical data expertise Provide deep technical leadership across systems, including a data lake house setup Act as a gatekeeper for the data platform, leveraging existing assets and making strategic decisions on new data sources Mentor, train, and foster the growth of team members Primary Requirements:
Proven experience managing a team of data engineers and/or BI developers Deeply technical background with the ability to understand and navigate complex data systems and architecture

Experience with the Microsoft data stack, including MS Dynamics 365 (ERP, Sales, CRM), Azure Data Warehouse, and Power BI Strong ability to query data and guide a team in building efficient reporting solutions Experience working in a dynamic environment with constantly shifting priorities Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop a technical team Solid understanding of data governance principles Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis
