DevOps Engineer

Role overview

A fully remote Dev Ops Engineer position focused on building and scaling infrastructure that powers a high-volume financial platform serving hourly workers. The role centers on infrastructure automation, platform reliability, security and compliance, and supporting specialized AI and data science workloads in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Architect, automate, and manage cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tooling
• Oversee reliability, performance, and observability across production systems using self-hosted monitoring stacks
• Manage dedicated infrastructure and environments for AI, data science, and machine learning workloads
• Drive security and compliance initiatives, including supporting SOC 2 and PCI DSS audits and implementing technical controls
• Develop and maintain internal tools that support cross-functional engineering teams
• Manage AI integrations and internal AI tooling

• Three or more years of experience in Dev Ops or Site Reliability Engineering roles
• Strong expertise with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code automation
• Strong security mindset applied to infrastructure design
• Solid coding background with willingness to learn and work in a PHP/Laravel stack
• Experience with PostgreSQL or comparable relational databases
• Hands-on ability to manage infrastructure supporting AI/ML/data science workloads

• Prior experience supporting compliance audits such as SOC 2 or PCI DSS
• Background working in a fast-paced startup environment
• Willingness to periodically travel for team and company on-sites

• Fully remote position based in the United States
• Annual base salary of $138,000, plus equity and additional perks
