Role details: This is a 100% remote contractor role open to applicants worldwide.
The roleLocal SEO is not a monthly report. It is a system of accurate business information, useful pages, healthy sites, strong local signals, and consistent work that makes a pet business easier to find and choose.
You will execute on-page, technical, local, and off-page work for assigned clients. You will keep Google Business Profiles and citations accurate, identify issues through audits and Search Console, coordinate pages and fixes with writers and developers, and document what changed so the work can be reviewed.
You are expected to prioritize quick wins without creating fragile shortcuts. Rankings matter, but so do qualified local visibility, accurate listings, clean implementation, and a site that helps a pet owner take the next step.
What you will own- Execute the monthly SEO maintenance checklist for assigned accounts.
- Implement on-page work including metadata, headings, internal links, content updates, and page-level recommendations.
- Audit technical SEO issues with approved tools and coordinate source-level fixes with Web.
- Manage assigned Google Business Profile work, citations, local listings, and business-information consistency.
- Conduct keyword and search-intent research that supports useful service and location pages.
- Monitor Google Search Console, ranking tools, crawl data, and material visibility changes.
- Prepare accurate client reporting notes that explain completed work, movement, risks, and next priorities.
- Escalate suspensions, major ranking losses, indexing problems, or technical emergencies immediately.
You take responsibility for the accuracy, documentation, and follow-through of assigned SEO work. A bad listing or unresolved crawl issue does not sit because another department may find it.
Over CommunicateYou raise unclear business data, access issues, technical blockers, and ranking changes early with evidence and a proposed next action.
Understand Before DoingYou understand search intent, the client's services, location, and booking path before changing a page or targeting a phrase.
Checked InYou complete scheduled checks, respond to alerts, keep tasks current, and know which assigned accounts need attention.
Results Over ActivityA long checklist is not the result. The result is better qualified visibility, accurate local presence, healthier pages, and useful next steps.
Only Client EnergyClients receive accurate listings, reviewed work, and plain-English reporting. They do not see internal confusion or unexplained volatility.
Talk Is CheapSEO recommendations are implemented, documented, and measured. Unsupported certainty and vague progress language do not count as proof.

- On-page work matches the service, location, search intent, and real client offering.

- Click Up and SEO records make the work auditable.
- You like tracing a visibility problem to evidence instead of reaching for a generic SEO explanation.
- You can balance quick wins with technical and content foundations.
- You write clear implementation notes for developers, writers, and Account Managers.
- You care about whether a pet owner can find and choose the right service, not only whether a keyword moved.
- You are comfortable documenting uncertainty and testing the next best explanation.
- You use rankings alone to declare success without checking traffic quality, local visibility, or conversion paths.
- You apply the same checklist blindly to every client.
- You use injected or fragile fixes when the issue can be corrected at the source.
- You let GBP, indexing, citation, or access problems sit without escalation.
