We are seeking a highly skilled SharePoint Developer to in our support of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to contribute to the design, development, customization, and maintenance of SharePoint-based solutions. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in SharePoint development, a deep understanding of SharePoint architecture, and the ability to create efficient and effective solutions to meet customer needs.
Current or previous experience with the VA is highly preferred.
This is a remote position.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into SharePoint solutions.
- Design, develop, and customize Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint applications, web parts, workflows, and other components to enhance functionality and usability.
- Implement and maintain SharePoint sites, pages, libraries, and lists, ensuring proper permissions and security settings.
- Integrate SharePoint solutions with other enterprise systems and applications, such as CRM, ERP, and third-party tools.
- Create and maintain documentation for developed solutions, including technical specifications and user guides.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SharePoint applications, identifying root causes and implementing appropriate solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in SharePoint technology and recommend improvements to enhance system performance and user experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, testers, and business analysts, to deliver high-quality solutions on time.
- Assist in migrating and upgrading SharePoint versions as necessary, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption.
- Train end-users on how to effectively use SharePoint solutions, providing support and addressing questions or concerns.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a SharePoint Developer, with a strong portfolio of SharePoint projects and solutions.
- Proficiency in SharePoint development tools, including SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio, and Power Shell scripting.
- In-depth knowledge of SharePoint features such as lists, libraries, workflows, content types, and permissions.
- Experience with SharePoint Online and Office 365 services.
- Familiarity with web development languages and technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and REST APIs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and resolve complex issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Microsoft certifications related to SharePoint development (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Developer Associate) are a plus.
- Experience with VA is a plus.
