Supervisory Information Technology Specialist
Duties- You will serve as a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist within the Enterprise Services Division.
- You will direct the planning, implementation, and lifecycle management of the portfolio, ensuring all activities support the mission requirements of the command.
- You will conduct complex market research and cost-benefit analyses to justify the acquisition of new technologies and services.
- You will negotiate and define IT requirements and service level agreements.
- You will develop performance standards and evaluate the work performance of subordinates.
- You will interview candidates for non-supervisory positions in the unit; make selections for appointments, promotions, or reassignments.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
- New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret/SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
- Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is required.
- Position may require travel outside normal working hours on weekdays, weekends or holidays to remote areas and foreign countries within CONUS and USINDOPACOM AOR, approximately 2-5 days typically less than twice per year.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid United States driver's license.
- This is a Mission Essential position.
- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, proficiency level (Intermediate) the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Conducting complex market research and cost-benefit analyses to justify the acquisition of new technologies and services;
Formulating and justifying annual budgets and defending resource requirements;
Negotiating and defining IT requirements and service level agreements;
Ensuring effective integration and collaboration.
