Business Requirements Analyst Army Financial Analytics Remote / Work from Home Active DOD Secret Clearance Required Are you ready to drive high-impact data modernization for critical defense operations?@Orchard LLC is seeking mid-level hands-on Business Requirements Analysts to join a mission-driven team delivering cutting-edge enterprise financial analytics for our U.S. Army clients. As a Business Requirements Analyst, you will join a team working directly alongside senior functional consultants and data engineers, as the functional bridge-translating complex Army financial and logistics operations into clear business logic, data mappings, and integration requirements across ERPs and legacy systems.

As the Business Requirements Analyst, you will.

• Conduct target research on Army financial workflows, tracing transaction paths and data movement across SAP and legacy systems to define requirements and integration logic.
• Gather, document, and validate business rules, data mappings, and functional requirements for both SAP and non-SAP data sources.
• Participate in functional workshops; drive discussions with senior financial SMEs, data engineers, and government stakeholders to resolve complex data questions and document dependencies.
• Manage project timelines, action items, and deliverables while proactively identifying potential risks to ensure seamless delivery.
• Continuously build deep domain expertise in Army financial systems, logistics processes, and the Army Line of Accounting.

Your background will include.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• At least 3 years of business or functional analysis experience in U.S. Army or DoD ERP implementation or sustainment.
• Familiarity with GFEBS (General Fund Enterprise Business System) or another SAP-based federal financial system.
• Basic understanding of the Army's financial Line of Accounting (LoA) and its core data elements.
• Proven track record gathering functional requirements, modeling business processes, and building detailed data mappings.
• Exceptional analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and professional written/verbal communication skills.

Extra experience that makes you stand out.

• Hands-on experience with SAP data objects, table structures, and relationships supporting financial and logistics reporting.
• Demonstrated experience contributing to enterprise data warehouse, data lake, or advanced analytics implementation projects.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Excel, Power BI, or Databricks).
• Exposure to business process re-engineering (BPR) or legacy system modernization initiatives within the federal space.

Compensation for this role will be determined based on experience and qualifications. The expected base salary range is between $115,000 and $141,000. Generous benefits, bonus eligibility, and significant professional development support are all available.
