Are you passionate about building security rather than simply auditing it?
We're partnering with a fast-growing technology organisation looking for an experienced Information Security Specialist to help mature and modernise its security programme. This is an opportunity to join a small, highly visible security function where you'll work closely with engineering, technology, operations and business teams to ensure security controls are not just documented, but effective in practice.
You'll play a key role in driving security assurance across the organisation by:
✅ Owning and continuously improving an established ISO 27001 programme
✅ Identifying and closing control and compliance gaps
✅ Validating that security controls are operating effectively, not just existing on paper
✅ Supporting audits, risk management and ongoing compliance activities
✅ Partnering with engineering, Dev Ops and business stakeholders
✅ Promoting a security-first culture that enables innovation and growth
We're looking for someone who enjoys asking:
"How do we know this control actually works?"
rather than simply
"Where's the policy?"
Ideal Background✔ Information Security Analyst, Officer or Specialist experience
✔ Strong ISO 27001 knowledge and practical application
✔ Experience in security controls, assurance and implementation
✔ Security governance, risk management and compliance expertise
✔ Comfortable working alongside technical teams and understanding security controls in practice
✔ Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
This role is particularly suited to someone who enjoys improving processes, driving meaningful change and helping shape the future direction of a growing security programme.
