Lead Engineer, Authentication Engineering; Sr Mgr Level; Remote

For our client, we are seeking a Lead Engineer, Authentication Engineering, (Sr Mgr Level) - Remote to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This leader will shape and modernize enterprise authentication capabilities that support secure access and a smooth user experience across a complex, cloud-enabled environment. The role will partner closely with Product Management and cross-functional technology teams to define strategy, deliver scalable solutions, and drive large-scale transformation.

As a senior technical leader, you will guide engineering execution while developing managers and strengthening technical standards across the organization. The position also offers the opportunity to advance passwordless access, automation, and identity capabilities that improve security, adoption, and operational efficiency.

Location:

Remote. Compensation: $151,700 – $221,675 annually.

• Collaborate with Product Management to shape authentication strategies and roadmaps
• Architect and engineer enterprise authentication solutions for optimal security and user experience
• Modernize authentication platforms, enabling advanced features such as passwordless access and Just-In-Time capabilities
• Drive automation initiatives using Infrastructure as Code methodologies and test-driven development
• Lead large-scale migrations and technology transformations to enhance user adoption
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable authentication services
• Coach and develop managing engineers to foster technical excellence and best practices

• 10+ years in IT or Engineering with a focus on authentication, identity, or security engineering
• 3+ years of management experience overseeing engineering teams
• Proven experience leading large-scale enterprise projects
• Strong expertise in Active Directory and Entra
• Skilled in PKI solutions and multifactor authentication systems across cloud platforms
