IAT Insurance Group is a leading private, family‑owned property and casualty insurer in the U.S. The Successful candidate will work from any IAT location with the flexibility to work remotely. The role reports to the VP, Claims Counsel and collaborates closely with the SVP, Legal and regional underwriters. The recommended schedule is a hybrid office presence Monday through Wednesday, with optional remote work Thursday and Friday.

• Interact with attorneys, claimants, owners and field management staff to resolve claims issues and ensure cost‑effective solutions.
• Draft and negotiate Surety Takeover/Completion Agreements, settlement agreements, releases, correspondence, reports and exposure analyses.
• Collaborate closely with underwriters in assigned regions.
• Review and analyze work‑in‑progress schedules, costs to complete, and accounts payable/receivable ledgers.
• Supervise outside counsel and consultants, reviewing their bills before approval.
• Recommend reserves and manage litigation and salvage recovery actions.
• Analyze payment bond claims and make payment recommendations.
• Select, develop, motivate and train staff to achieve objectives.
• Stay current on statutes, regulations and case law in assigned regions.
• Monitor and evaluate employee performance.
• Perform other job‑related duties as required.

• JD with 4+ years of relevant Surety Claims and/or Construction Law experience.
• Licensed insurance adjuster or ability to obtain an adjuster license in assigned regions (or license with reciprocity).
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require visa sponsorship.

The annual gross salary range for this position is $82,960 – $180,450. Base salary offers will vary based on qualifications, experience and geographic location. Total compensation includes performance‑based bonus opportunities, 401(k) match, profit‑sharing and other benefits.
