What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Prepare and coordinate analyses for insurance rating and support individual account pricing
  • Conduct actuarially sound statistical analysis to develop pricing recommendations
  • Document assumptions, methods, and findings in an organized manner
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, finance, and claims
  • Provide mentorship and guidance for more junior colleagues as needed
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or related area and 5 years of experience in statistical and actuarial analysis, or a Graduate degree with 3 years of experience
  • Completion of 5 or more actuarial exams
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and programming languages such as SQL, R, Python, and Radar
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Actuarial analysis experience on Commercial Auto lines insurance
  • Proven oral and written communication skills, including formal presentation abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of the actuarial industry and the insurance marketplace
  • Expert-level problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Active participation in company culture initiatives such as employee resource groups
