Overview
Zurich is currently looking for an experienced claims adjuster to join our General Liability Multinational Claims team within the Complex claims organization. This role is fully remote with flexibility to consider candidates from any location within the United States.
This position requires management of claims with complexity involving local and master insurance policies in a multinational program, including mid to high exposure general liability, product liability, some auto liability, and litigation involving bodily injury, property damage, personal injury, and advertising injury. The Claims Specialist is responsible for investigating, evaluating, and determining coverage under the policies, proactively managing claims and litigation, and delivering outstanding customer service.
Regular and detailed communication with customers, brokers, business units, global colleagues, and senior claims management is required.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing and resolving severe injury claims and litigation in multiple jurisdictions, strong time and caseload management skills, and the ability to document claim files by accurately and timely capturing and updating claims data in compliance with best practices.
Responsibilities- Manage claims with complexity involving local and master insurance policies in a multinational program, including mid to high exposure general liability, product liability, some auto liability, and related litigation.
- Investigate, evaluate, and determine coverage under the insurance policies.
- Proactively manage claims and litigation in accordance with best practices while delivering outstanding customer service.
- Maintain regular and detailed communication with customers, brokers, business units, global colleagues, and senior claims management.
- Document claim files with accurate and timely data entry and updates in compliance with established standards.
- Bachelor’s degree and 6 or more years of experience managing complex general liability, product liability, and some auto liability claims and litigation, including high severity claims, and experience investigating, evaluating, and determining coverage, OR
- Juris Doctor and 2 or more years of experience managing complex general liability, product liability, and some auto liability claims and litigation, including high severity claims, and experience investigating, evaluating, and determining coverage, OR
- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with 6 or more years of related experience, OR
- Completion of Zurich Claims Training Program with 8 or more years of experience in Claims and/or Litigation Management, OR
- High School Diploma or Equivalent with 10 or more years of experience managing complex general liability, product liability, and some auto liability claims and litigation, including high severity claims, and experience investigating, evaluating, and determining coverage
- Must obtain and retain required adjuster licenses
- Microsoft Office experience
- Knowledge of insurance regulations, markets, and products
- JD, SCLA, AIC, or CPCU
- Experience in a collaborative team environment and across work groups
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience resolving severe bodily injury and property damage claims and litigation in multiple jurisdictions
- Experience with multinational insurance programs including local/master and DIC/DIL interplay
- Experience with non-admitted insurance claims including regulatory and compliance awareness
- Strong skills in coverage, claim evaluation, and negotiation
- Proven organization and time management
Pay and benefits:
Your pay is based on role, location, skills, and experience. We offer bonuses and merit increases where applicable. The proposed salary range is $75,800.00 – $ with a short-term incentive bonus eligibility of 15%. We offer comprehensive benefits for employees and their families.
