• Evaluate insurance policies, claims forms, and other records to determine insurance coverage
• Conduct thorough investigations and gather necessary documentation to assess liability
• Interview claimants and witnesses regarding claims
• Prepare reports and negotiate claim settlements, ensuring adherence to carrier instructions
• Utilize technology for efficient claim handling and maintain an expected caseload

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
• Must obtain IIA‑AIC designation within 12 to 18 months in the role
• Three (3) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to create comprehensive and accurate written reports

• Prior experience handling property and casualty claims is a plus
• Empathetic claims handling demeanor
• Negotiating skills to effectively resolve claims
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
