What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Prepare and coordinate analyses for insurance rating, supporting individual account pricing and portfolio rate making
  • Conduct statistical analysis to develop pricing recommendations based on selected data sources and assumptions
  • Document assumptions and methods clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, finance, and claims, to provide actuarial support
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior colleagues as needed
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or related area with 5 years of post-bachelor experience in statistical and actuarial analysis, or a graduate degree with 3 years of experience
  • Completion of 5 or more actuarial exams
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and programming languages such as SQL, R, Python, or Radar
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Experience in actuarial analysis on Commercial Auto lines insurance
  • Expert-level problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Proven ability to deliver formal presentations
  • In-depth knowledge of the actuarial industry and insurance marketplace
