Associate Underwriter​/Underwriting Assistant

• Provide customer service and administrative support to the Underwriting department
• Gather data from clients for new and renewal business to aid underwriting decisions
• Maintain file accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with company procedures
• Prepare, assemble, and issue policy endorsements and associated documentation
• Act as a liaison with other departments to facilitate effective communication

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience as an underwriting assistant or internship with an insurance carrier or agency preferred
• Knowledge of Workers' Compensation or Property & Casualty lines preferred
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Previous experience in the insurance industry, particularly in underwriting or administrative roles
• Familiarity with computerized systems for research and data entry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
