What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Act as the owning adjuster for injury exposure claims, handling both represented and unrepresented cases
  • Manage communications with claimants via writing, telephone, and electronic means
  • Conduct investigative work, including interviewing witnesses and analyzing evidence
  • Make coverage determinations and advise customers on appropriate actions
  • Negotiate and settle injury claims with exposure valued under $25,000
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a casualty claims role within the property and casualty insurance industry
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills with a good command of the English language
  • Ability to work independently and manage productivity effectively
  • Basic math and computer skills with the ability to type 30 words per minute
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • BA/BS in business, insurance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1-3 years of casualty experience
  • Bilingual skills are a plus
  • Demonstrated respect for diverse backgrounds through excellent communication
  • Active participation in company culture initiatives, such as employee resource groups
