Casualty Specialist, Evaluator; Remote

• Handle both represented and unrepresented first and third-party claims with exposure valued less than $25,000
• Conduct investigative work, including interviewing witnesses and analyzing evidence
• Manage communications with clients via writing, telephone, and electronic means
• Make coverage determinations and advise customers on appropriate actions
• Represent the insured and/or employer at settlement conferences and, on rare occasions, at arbitrations and trials

• High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a casualty claims role within the property and casualty insurance industry
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and make strong decisions
• Proficient oral and written communication skills in English
• Basic math and computer skills, with a typing speed of at least 30 words per minute

• BA/BS in business, insurance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1-3 years of casualty claims experience
• Bilingual skills are a plus
• Active participation in employee resource groups or community volunteering
• Willingness to invest extra time to help other teams and fulfill business needs
