GEICO Multiline Adjuster Trainee – Syracuse, NY, Albany, NY, Buffalo, NY, and Downstate NY

We are seeking a highly motivated and service-oriented individual to join our Multi-line Damage team as a Multi-line Property Damage Trainee. You will inspect damage, estimate repair costs, negotiate settlements, issue payments, and provide excellent customer service. This position primarily services boat, motorcycle, RV and other specialty claims.

The role may involve working in repair shops, salvage yards, customer homes, or in a virtual estimating environment.

Our industry-leading, paid training includes 3 weeks of hands-on experience at our Ashburn, VA training facility to teach the ins and outs of physical damage adjusting. We provide the resources and training so you can directly assist our customers after accidents or major disasters. We’re looking for candidates who are motivated and compassionate; your unique skillset, coupled with the latest adjusting tools and technology, will help you succeed.

• Valid driver’s license (must meet company underwriting guidelines for at least the past 3 consecutive years) and the ability to maintain applicable state and federal certifications and permits
• Willingness to be flexible with primary work location – remote or field work may be required
• Solid computer, mechanical aptitude, and multi-tasking skills
• Effective attention to detail and decision-making skills
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and willingness to expand on these abilities
• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; college degree or current pursuit preferred

$25.44 - $39.17 per hour. The above salary range is a general guideline. Final rate depends on factors including role scope, experience, location, and market considerations. GEICO will not sponsor new applicants for employment authorization for this position at this time.
