Position: Casualty Specialist, Evaluator (Remote)

What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Act as the assigned adjuster for injury exposure cases, managing claims with exposure valued less than $25,000
  • Handle simple to moderate first and third-party auto liability cases, including medical payments and PIP
  • Conduct investigative work, including interviewing witnesses and analyzing evidence
  • Make coverage determinations and communicate effectively with customers regarding claims
  • Present cases in committee settings when seeking approval for settlements above authority levels
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • High School Diploma or GED, with a minimum of 3 years experience in a casualty claims role within the property and casualty insurance industry
  • 2-3 years of claims experience
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions effectively
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills, with a good command of the English language
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • BA/BS in business, insurance, or a related area, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1-3 years of casualty experience
  • Bilingual skills are a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to respect differences and communicate effectively with diverse backgrounds
  • Participation in employee resource groups or community volunteering
