Casualty Specialist, Evaluator; Remote

• Handle both represented and unrepresented first and third-party claims with injury exposure, resolving cases with independent settlement limits of up to $25,000
• Manage communications through various means including writing, telephone, and electronic communication
• Conduct investigative work, including interviewing witnesses and analyzing evidence
• Make coverage determinations and advise customers on appropriate actions related to coverage issues
• Present cases for settlement authority approval when necessary and negotiate settlements independently

• High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a casualty claims role within the property and casualty insurance industry
• 2-3 years of claims experience
  
  Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Proficient oral and written communication skills and a good command of the English language
• Ability to work independently and function effectively in a team environment

• BA/BS in business, insurance, or a related area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1-3 years of casualty experience
• Bilingual skills are a plus
• Active participation in company culture initiatives, such as employee resource groups and volunteering
• Willingness to travel as needed for the role
