Casualty Specialist, Evaluator; Remote

• Act as the owning adjuster for injury exposure, managing first and third-party claims with a settlement limit of up to $25,000
• Handle simple to moderate auto liability cases and assist in catastrophes related activities
• Conduct investigative work, including interviewing witnesses and analyzing evidence
• Make coverage determinations and advise customers on appropriate actions regarding coverage issues
• Develop negotiating strategies and present cases in Committee settings when seeking settlement authority

• High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a casualty claims role within the property and casualty insurance industry
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Proficient oral and written communication skills and good command of the English language
• Ability to work independently and manage productivity through self-directed claim assignments
• Basic math and computer skills, with the ability to type at least 30 words per minute

• BA/BS in business, insurance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1-3 years of casualty experience in the insurance industry
• Bilingual skills are a plus
• Active participation in employee resource groups or community volunteering
• Willingness to travel for team meetings and other in-person engagements
