- Act as the owning adjuster for injury exposure, managing first and third-party claims with a settlement limit of up to $25,000
- Handle simple to moderate auto liability cases and assist in catastrophes related activities
- Conduct investigative work, including interviewing witnesses and analyzing evidence
- Make coverage determinations and advise customers on appropriate actions regarding coverage issues
- Develop negotiating strategies and present cases in Committee settings when seeking settlement authority
- High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a casualty claims role within the property and casualty insurance industry
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Proficient oral and written communication skills and good command of the English language
- Ability to work independently and manage productivity through self-directed claim assignments
- Basic math and computer skills, with the ability to type at least 30 words per minute
- BA/BS in business, insurance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1-3 years of casualty experience in the insurance industry
- Bilingual skills are a plus
- Active participation in employee resource groups or community volunteering
- Willingness to travel for team meetings and other in-person engagements
