What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Serve as the owning adjuster for injury exposures, managing both first and third‑party claims
  • Handle claims with exposure valued under $25,000, ensuring effective resolution
  • Conduct investigations, negotiate settlements, and make coverage determinations
  • Manage communications with clients via writing, phone, and electronic means
  • Represent the insured at settlement conferences and potentially at arbitrations or trials
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a casualty claims role within the property and casualty insurance industry
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills with a good command of the English language
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions
  • Basic math and computer skills; ability to type at least 30 wpm
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • BA/BS in business, insurance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1-3 years of casualty claims experience
  • Bilingual skills are a plus
  • Demonstrated commitment to company culture through participation in employee resource groups or volunteering
  • Willingness to travel as needed for role‑related activities
