Principal Product Manager, Underwriting

• Define and own the product strategy and roadmap for underwriting capabilities
• Act as the general manager for the product, managing strategy, execution, and financial outcomes
• Translate insurer practices and regulatory requirements into prioritized product capabilities
• Lead product discovery to address complex underwriting and risk‑selection challenges
• Ensure compliance and alignment with internal and external governance requirements for underwriting workflows

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree and/or equivalent experience relevant to the functional area
• 8–12 years of experience in product management within SaaS or enterprise software environments
• Demonstrated experience owning complex workflow or decision‑centric product domains
• Deep understanding of P&C commercial lines underwriting, including workflows and risk selection practices
• Proven ability to partner cross‑functionally with technical and non‑technical teams

• Hands‑on experience with underwriting systems and configurable, decision‑centric platforms
• Experience in delivering AI‑enabled or model‑informed workflows
• Strong execution discipline and ability to manage ambiguity in complex environments
• Ability to communicate clearly across technical and non‑technical audiences
• Experience with agile, iterative delivery models
