Job Summary:

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Underwriting Manager specializing in Commercial Surety to join a team. This role involves underwriting new and renewal accounts, building strong relationships with agents and reinsurers, and ensuring profitability through careful risk selection. The position offers the flexibility to work remotely.

• Manage profit and loss responsibility for a book of business within the assigned territory.
• Develop and execute a marketing plan to generate new business by targeting key brokers, arranging meetings, and attending industry functions.
• Perform underwriting functions, including financial analysis, account analysis, industry analysis, and administrative tasks.
• Ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines and authority limits.
• Serve as a resource on underwriting and territory-related issues for the Commercial Surety team across the country.
• Lead special projects and perform other duties as required.

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
• Proven management experience.
• Extensive experience in commercial surety underwriting.
