Commercial Property Claims Supervisor | Remote

Our client, a leading A-rated Insurance Carrier, is seeking to add an Inside Property Claims Supervisor to their team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the handling of moderate to complex Commercial & Residential Property claims, providing technical guidance, quality control, and performance oversight to desk and field property adjusters. This is a fully remote position, with occasional travel as needed for audits, training, or collaboration with claims leadership.

Qualified candidates will reside in the state of Ohio.

• Provide oversight and technical direction on Commercial and Residential Property claims to ensure proper investigation, coverage analysis, reserving, and settlement practices.
• Review high-severity and large-loss files for accuracy, compliance, and adherence to company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as an escalation point for coverage issues, dispute resolution, and complex settlement negotiations.
• Mentor, coach, and support Field and Desk Adjusters through file reviews, training, and ongoing performance feedback.
• Monitor claim trends, severity drivers, and operational metrics; recommend process improvements and best practices.
• Collaborate with management, legal, underwriting, and reinsurance teams on complex claims and emerging exposures.
• Ensure timely file documentation, diary compliance, and consistent communication with internal stakeholders.
• Support CAT events and large-loss activity as needed, including strategic oversight of workload and resources.
• Uphold high standards of customer service, professionalism, and claims integrity.

• 7 - 10+ years of Commercial and/or Residential Property claims experience, including large loss and complex property claims exposures
• Prior supervisory, oversight, or senior technical role experience required (Supervisor, Manager, Team Lead, or Large Loss Consultant)
• Strong background in Commercial Property coverage interpretation and large-loss settlement strategy
• Prior experience working directly for an Insurance Carrier required
• Proficient in Xactimate and claims management systems
• Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required

• $120,000 - $145,000 base salary (depending on experience) plus 10–20% annual bonus
