Overview
Creative Risk Solutions (CRS), part of the Holmes Murphy umbrella, specializes in third‑party claims management solutions. We are hiring a Workers’ Compensation Claims Specialist to handle claims in Florida and Kentucky.
Responsibilities- Receive, gather, and accurately transmit workers’ compensation information to the company from communications with the insured, claimants, and internal staff promptly.
- Investigate, evaluate, and resolve lost‑time workers’ compensation claims, including litigated claims.
- Mediates situations between the insured and the insurance company with minimal supervisory support, researching coverage issues as needed.
- Enter and maintain accurate information on a computer system throughout the claim process, including final settlement data.
- Generate checks for indemnity and medical payments daily.
- Develop and monitor consistency in procedural matters of the claims handling process within CRS.
- Show willingness to become licensed when required in the jurisdiction where claims are handled.
- Education: High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
- Technical designations: AIC and CPCU encouraged.
- Experience: 3–5 years of claims experience with a strong background in workers’ compensation, including FL and KY claims.
- Licensing: Active Florida and/or Kentucky Workers Compensation license required or ability to acquire within three months of hire.
- Proficient knowledge of workers’ compensation insurance coverage and claims processing procedures.
- Ability to adjudicate lost‑time claims across multiple jurisdictions.
- Quick learner of various software programs.
- Strong grasp of claims principles, practices, and insurance coverage interpretation.
- Ability to contribute to workflows and adhere to compliance requirements.
- Prioritizes problem solving, fosters relationships, and collaborates to deliver client solutions.
