Job Overview
Auto-Owners Insurance, a top‑rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated individual to join our Actuarial Division as an Actuarial Support Technician. The position works under close supervision and provides support to our Actuarial Division by assisting in the rate review preparation process.
Work‑from‑home flexibility: after initial in‑person training, the role may allow up to 3 days per week of remote work.
Responsibilities- Use various databases to enter information and produce exhibits.
- Communicate by phone or electronically as required.
- Learn the computer software used in the Actuarial department.
- Use Microsoft Word and Excel to create documentation and reports including, but not limited to, review packets, manual pages, group updates, and filings.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance to meet defined work deadlines.
- Assist with other duties within the department or elsewhere on request.
- High school education or its equivalent is required; an associate’s degree is preferred.
- High levels of organization, time management, and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize own workload.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Some insurance industry knowledge is preferred.
