Position: Attorney-Represented Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster - PST/MST (Remote)

Job Description

National General Insurance is currently hiring an experienced Bodily Injury Telephone Adjuster. The ideal candidate will be based in one of the following Pacific time zone states:
California, Nevada, Oregon, Arizona, and possess experience in handling homeowner, commercial, or auto liability claims. Candidates must be able to work 8am–5pm Pacific time zone hours. Litigation experience may be necessary for this role. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage and negotiate claims. Responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for basic to advanced automobile accidents.

Determines coverage, liability, damages and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within limit of authority.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handles investigation regarding all aspects of bodily injury claims (coverage, damages, subrogation, litigation) with the exercise of discretion and independence within increased level of authority.
  • Applies intermediate understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department.
  • Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle.
  • Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills.
  • Recognizes and identifies body parts of a vehicle and understanding of other potential property damage.
  • For claims involving fraud or subrogation, partners with assigned reps from those areas to achieve best outcome.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities:

    This job does not have supervisory duties.

As a requirement of employment, individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment. Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team. Compensation

Base compensation offered for this role is:
Adjuster Analyst III: $21.20–$34.69/hr, Adjuster Consultant I: $26.49–$40.99/hr, Adjuster Consultant II: $28.03–$43.70/hr, Adjuster Sr Consultant I: $35.82–$50.24/hr total compensation for this role is comprised of several factors, including the base compensation outlined above, plus incentive pay (i.e., commission, bonus, etc.) if applicable for the role.
