Location: New Orleans

Job Opportunity

The purpose of this role is to provide efficient and effective support to the claims team to ensure good relations with clients and brokers and that accurate records are established and maintained.

  • Location:

    Miami, FL
    - New Orleans, LA
    - Atlanta, GA
  • Hourly rate: $21.75 – $32.50, depending on experience
  • Location:

    Houston, TX
    - Chicago, IL
  • Hourly rate: $24.00 – $35.75, depending on experience
  • Work arrangement:
    Hybrid – expected to be in the office 2‑3 days per week
Responsibilities
  • Manage new claims enquiries, review policy records and create new claims.
  • Develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance in areas of expertise.
  • Respond to requests for claims advice and Management Information/reporting.
  • Undertake additional administration duties related to claims processing.
  • Develop a good working knowledge of claims systems.
  • Handle a portfolio of delegated authority claims.
  • Contribute to the claims handling plans.
  • Develop an understanding of relevant internal policies, processes and procedures.
  • Act as a point of reference to guide and advise others.
Preferred Work Experience
  • Experience in Commercial insurance services in a similar role.
  • Customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Tertiary degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (must have).
Compensation

The salary range for this role is provided above. The offer will be based on the role’s complexity, location, and the candidate’s professional background, including education and experience. In addition to base salary, full-time employees are eligible for QBE’s annual discretionary bonus plan.
