Insurance Sales Leader – Commercial Property & Casualty
Summary: Recruit, retain, and coach insurance professionals while directly responsible for new business, retention, and growth of assigned team and region(s).
Responsibilities- Execute Sales Strategy:
Execute the annual sales plan, achieving targeted growth and profitability. Collaborate with National Insurance Sales Leader and other line sales leaders to create an executable plan that increases Huntington Insurance brand awareness across markets. - Client Engagement & Relationship Management:
Support internal bank partnerships (OCR), providing high visibility and participation in assigned regions, and deepening internal and external COI relationships by assigning the right sales colleagues to the right segments. - Implement Sales Process:
Drive and monitor the implementation of the sales process, ensuring OCR referrals are assigned appropriately and facilitating transfers when needed. - Manage Pipeline & Reporting:
Maintain pipeline, reporting, forecasting, analysis, and performance tracking of assigned producers and markets. - Optimize Sales Team Performance:
Identify and recruit high‑caliber sales professionals and service team members; assist with succession planning and talent pipeline development. - Lead & Coach:
Lead, coach and mentor direct reports and others on the sales process. - Performance Monitoring:
Provide data for monthly forecast calls and business reviews. - Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 7+ years of leadership experience in Property & Casualty Commercial Lines at a strong regional or large national brokerage firm.
- Property & Casualty Insurance license (or must obtain within 90 days of start).
- Other insurance licenses as needed.
- Strong business acumen with emphasis on leadership, sales development, and client service.
- C‑suite level executive presence with strong negotiation and consultative sales skills.
- Proven record of developing producers, growing revenues, and improving profitability.
- Problem‑solving skills and ability to handle complex issues.
- Ability to multi‑task and meet tight deadlines.
- High energy, results‑driven individual with strong coaching capability.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to drive successful outcomes.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels across the organization.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment.
- Proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint for presentations and analysis.
- Familiarity with Agency Management Systems (Tableau, Sagitta, Vertafore). Preference for Tableau.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional grammar and demeanor.
- Exempt Status:
Yes – not eligible for overtime pay. - Workplace Type:
Office (flexible work arrangements may be available).
