Position SummaryThe Property & Casualty Insurance Agent – Commercial Lines is responsible for selling and servicing commercial insurance products while building long-term client relationships. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work remotely and, in the office, with a focus on consultative selling, prospecting, retention, and collaboration with internal teams. The role combines client‑facing impact with strategic business development across the Tampa Bay market.
Key Responsibilities Sales & Client Acquisition- Advise, quote, and sell commercial property & casualty insurance policies.
- Analyze business operations and risk exposure to develop tailored insurance solutions.
- Meet monthly sales quotas by following established agency processes.
- Prospect for new business through community involvement and outreach to Achieva Credit Union members.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with policyholders, prospects, and referral sources.
- Manage policy expirations, renewals, and retention efforts.
- Collaborate with internal team members to support renewals and resolve service‑related issues.
- Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and carrier requirements.
- Stay current on industry trends, product knowledge, and regulatory changes.
- Utilize agency management and CRM tools (e.g., Agency Zoom, EZLYNX) to track activities and client interactions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of sales efforts, policy information, and renewal workflows.
- Participate in incentive and recognition programs tied to performance metrics.
- Active Florida 2-20 Property & Casualty license required.
- 5+ years of commercial lines experience strongly preferred.
- Must have a valid Florida driver’s license and pass a background check.
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and risk assessment practices.
- Proven consultative sales skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
- Familiarity with agency management systems and CRM tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized, self‑motivated, and results‑driven.
- Ability to multitask and operate effectively in a hybrid team environment.
