Job Description
Responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for the most complex automobile accidents. Determines coverage, liability, damages and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within limit of authority. Mentors and provides direction to junior employees.
We are seeking a Litigation Adjuster to handle attorney‑represented claims with values up to $100,000. This specialty role focuses primarily on soft‑tissue injuries, with occasional exposure to more complex cases such as fractures. The position supports litigation across Northeastern states, including Maryland and Michigan. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of attorney represented claims experience and be located in the northeastern states.

- Recognizes and identifies body parts of a vehicle or understanding other potential property damage
- Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills
- Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle for the most complex cases
- Applies advanced understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department
- Recommends process improvements
- Applies increased experience in the Sr Adjuster level or a rotation into a specialty position (Coverage, Investigation Specialist, Total Loss, Initial Handler, Extended Handler, Litigation, etc.)
- For claims involving injuries (if handled), learns how to review, evaluate, and negotiate moderate to complex/Catastrophic injury claims
- Handles investigation regarding all aspects of the most complex auto claims (coverage, liability and damages) with the exercise discretion and independence within increased level of authority
This job does not have supervisory duties.

Compensation- BI Adjuster Cons I: $50,000 - $86,400
- BI Adjuster Cons II: $56,000 - $93,250
- BI Adjuster Sr Cons I: $68,500 - $117,700
- BI Adjuster Sr Cons II: $70,100 - $124,500
Base compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation includes base pay plus incentive pay (i.e. commission, bonus, etc.) if applicable.
