Our client, a leading Property & Casualty National Insurance Carrier, is seeking to add a Senior Commercial Property Claims Examiner to their remote team due to continued growth! This individual will be responsible for managing moderate to complex commercial property losses, including litigated files, with exposures up to $2M. The role involves handling a variety of building-related claims across multiple jurisdictions, including rental properties, warehouses, industrial facilities, and other commercial structures.
This is a fully remote position!
- Investigate, evaluate, and resolve complex commercial property claims, including litigated matters, through to resolution
- Manage a pending of approximately 70 – 90 files, focusing exclusively on commercial property losses
- Analyze damages, review estimates, and evaluate scope of loss across a wide range of property types (commercial buildings, warehouses, industrial plants, rental properties, commercial farm structures, etc.)
- Establish timely and appropriate reserves based on investigation and anticipated exposure
- Collaborate with attorneys, experts, and internal stakeholders to develop and execute resolution strategies
- Conduct thorough coverage analysis and draft detailed coverage position letters when applicable
- Maintain consistent communication with insureds, public adjusters, attorneys, and clients throughout the claims lifecycle
- 7+ years of commercial property claims handling experience, including complex and litigated files
- Must have experience working directly for an Insurance Carrier
- Active Adjuster’s License required;
Texas or Florida license strongly preferred - Proven ability to evaluate damages, review estimates, and manage complex claim files
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with attorneys, insureds, and internal stakeholders
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of managing a remote workload independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and claims management systems
- $100,000 - $130,000+ annual base salary depending on experience
