Job DescriptionAs the Large Loss Property Lead Consultant you will apply strategic thinking to investigate and confirm the facts of loss for the most complex, specialized homeowners claims. You will determine coverage, assess damages, negotiate settlements within your authority, and provide leadership and coaching to other team members.
We are hiring for the Houston or Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW) market. This role is ideal for a candidate with expert-level experience managing homeowner property claims from intake to resolution, covering content, additional living expenses (ALE), dwelling, and supplemental losses, and capable of supporting virtual moderate to large losses in other regions as needed. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with wind, hail, fire, storm, and water perils, can juggle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment, communicates effectively, collaborates well, and commits to exceptional customer service.
Farm and ranch claim experience is highly preferred and licensing is a plus.
- Conduct investigations for all aspects of complex or specialized homeowners first‑party claims, exercising discretion and independence within an expanded authority level.
- Maintain and expand expertise in residential construction, repair, structural integrity, home systems, and evolving building techniques.
- Identify complex customer needs and provide advanced customer service to meet them.
- Assess subrogation or fraud potential, recommend handling, and propose process improvements.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of insurance policies written by the company and the industry.
- Mentor and develop junior staff through estimate review, reinspection, ride‑along, and other techniques.
- For claims involving fraud or subrogation, partner with assigned reps from those areas to achieve the best outcome.
This position does not have supervisory duties.
Sign‑On BonusYou may be eligible for a $1,000 licensing sign‑on bonus if you hold the applicable active license(s) needed for this role, such as Home Resident Property & Casualty, Designated Home State (DHS) Florida or Texas, or an applicable Appraiser license.

The total compensation range for this role is $80,000.00 – $ annually, based on experience and qualifications.
