Job DescriptionAs a Material Damage (MD) Claims Adjuster you are responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for basic to advanced automobile accidents. Determining coverage, liability, damages and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within limit of authority.
We are seeking an experienced Material Damage Claims Adjuster who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate resides in the CST time zone and brings strong customer service skills with a focus on empathy and professionalism. This individual demonstrates expertise in de-escalation techniques and effective communication, thrives in a collaborative environment, and works well across teams.
Additionally, the candidate should have a solid foundation in coverage investigation and liability determination, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in handling claims.
- For claims involving fraud or subrogation, partner with assigned reps from those areas to achieve best outcome
- Recognizes and identifies body parts of a vehicle and understanding of other potential property damage
- Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills
- Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle
- Applies intermediate understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department
- Handles investigation regarding all aspects of auto claims (coverage, damages, subrogation) with the exercise of discretion and independence within increased level of authority
This job does not have supervisory duties.
As a requirement of employment, individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment. Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team. Base compensation offered for this role is:
- Adjuster Cons I: $53,500./salary
- Adjuster Cons II: $56,000./salary
Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation for this role may include additional components, such as incentive pay (for example, commission or bonus), if applicable.
