New Business Underwriter – San Antonio, TX

Texas Security General Insurance Agency, a company of Bridge Specialty Group, is seeking a New Business Underwriter to join our growing team in San Antonio, TX.

• Process new and renewal P&C business in a timely and efficient manner to grow revenues and maintain retention and profitability.
• Underwrite new business by reviewing the application for acceptability, requesting additional information if necessary, and accepting or rejecting risks in conformance with company guidelines.
• Underwrite renewal business by reviewing the insured’s file, producing agency experience, nature and frequency of losses and prior carrier loss experience.
• Develop productive and profitable relationships with agents to increase revenues and retain policies upon expiration.
• Meet established goals and deliver timely customer service in all areas.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with the Marketing Team on a continuous basis.
• Assist in training of other personnel as directed.
• Perform related work as requested by Management.

• Ability to obtain a P&C license (in your applicable state) in the first 90 days of employment.
• 5+ years insurance industry experience (home office, retail, or wholesale acceptable).
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 10 years successful industry experience may substitute.
• Bilingual language skills preferred.
• Exceptional telephone demeanor.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
