Base pay range$60.00/hr - $100.00/hr
Position: P&C Actuaries
Type: Hourly contract
Compensation: $60–$100/hr
Location: Remote
Commitment: 30+ hours/week
Duration: ~6 weeks
Role Responsibilities- Build and analyze paid and incurred loss development triangles.
- Calculate, compare, and select age-to-age and cumulative development factors.
- Estimate ultimate losses and IBNR using factor-based reserving methods.
- Perform rate indication analyses including premium on-leveling and trending.
- Select and justify frequency and severity trends with clear documentation.
- Conduct large loss analyses using capping and truncation techniques.
- Prepare reserve exhibits and filing‑ready work papers in Excel and PDF formats.
- Strong experience in property and casualty actuarial reserving and pricing work.
- Strong experience building and auditing complex actuarial models in Excel.
- Familiarity with Workers Compensation, Auto, General Liability, or Umbrella lines.
- Experience using reserving tools such as Arius, ResQ, R Chain Ladder, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of insurance data sources and policy systems (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek).
- Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
- Complete a short domain expertise interview.
