Job Description

As the Auto Field Adjuster you will be responsible for creating a comprehensive estimate of damages for the most complex 1st and 3rd party material damage claims leading to the proper disposition. This role is utilized as a peer mentor and may provide direction to junior employees having mastered our processes and obtained technical expertise.

We are seeking an experienced Auto Field Adjuster to join our Field Estimating team in the Fremont, California or Morgan Hill, California area. This field-based, territory-specific role is ideal for a claims professional with experience working for a major insurance carrier and a strong background in auto damage assessment. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting vehicles, preparing accurate estimates and supplements using CCC One, negotiating repair costs, and delivering an exceptional customer experience throughout the claims process.

We are looking for someone who possesses strong time management and organizational skills, can effectively manage a defined territory, and demonstrates a customer-focused approach while building positive relationships with customers, repair facilities, and business partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files
  • Applies mastered content in interpretations of all policy types written by the company and assists leadership in formal and ad hoc training
  • Exhibits mastery estimating fundamentals in order to create estimates of damages for the most complex 1st and 3rd party material damage losses of all severities
  • Recommends process improvements
  • Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers
  • Interprets regulatory compliance and fair claims practices
Supervisory Responsibilities

This job does not have supervisory duties.

As a requirement of employment, individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment. Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team. Compensation
  • Field Adjuster Cons I: $26.49 – $37.50/hour
  • Field Adjuster Cons II: $28.03 – 39.42/hour
  • Field Adjuster Sr. Cons I: $35.82 – 45.58/hour
  • Field Adjuster Sr. Cons II: $37.98 – 48.08/hour

Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation for this role may include additional components, such as incentive pay (for example, commission or bonus), if applicable.
