RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I (WI Virtual)

Zurich is looking for an RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I to join our Rural Community Insurance Services (RCIS) team in Wisconsin. The incumbent will work from a home-based office and will spend approximately 50% of the time traveling to cover the territory.

The ideal candidate must live and serve within a 100-mile area of Shawano, Oconto, and Marinette counties.

• Complete field inspections and related responsibilities, such as reading maps and aerial photos, measuring fields, and storage bins, and discuss findings of crop loss with farmers on complex, non-routine, problematic claims including controversial claims.
• Convey complex regulations and interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry partners regarding claim situations.
• Perform fact-finding regarding crop damage, record information, and transmit loss data to accurately determine potential indemnities.
• Gather relevant facts, utilizing applicable law and establishing basic principles of negligence.
• Complete claim reviews and audits on lower-level adjusters as assigned.
• Ensure legal compliance by maintaining a strong working knowledge of regulatory and company policies and procedures.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more months of experience in the agricultural area.
• Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) must be obtained within 180 days of hire.
• Reliable personal transportation and ability to travel within the territory.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Physical ability to walk up to 3 miles in agricultural fields, climb storage bins up to 25 feet, lift 25‑50 lbs., and work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organization and prioritization skills.
• Experience as a Crop Claims Field Adjuster.

The hourly range for this position is $22.40‑$30.87, plus a short-term incentive bonus of 5%. Additional bonuses and merit increases may be available based on performance.
