Senior Property Claims Adjuster

Overview

Senior Property Field Claims Adjuster to join the field claims team. You will be providing a consistent, positive, and satisfying claims experience for clients through the proper investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and settlement of property claims. You will learn how to use innovative technologies, such as drones for property inspections. In addition to on-site inspections, virtual claim handling software is used to guide clients safely and expertly through the claim process.

  North River, ND;
  Bellingham, WA

• This is a field position. Full-time field work within the territory including Bellingham and Seattle, Washington and surrounding areas north of Seattle.
• Multilingual is preferred.

• Investigates claims by determining applicable policy coverage, evaluates, negotiates, and settles assigned claims.
• Initiates contact with insureds, claimants, and all relevant parties to gather basic information, obtain recorded statements (when necessary), and explain the overall claims process.
• Completes physical and/or virtual inspections of damaged property (when necessary), evaluates damages, and prepares written estimates according to policy provisions and liability.

• Competent knowledge of residential and commercial construction techniques.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel (or equivalents), Xactimate, and/or other claims estimating software (as applicable).
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Overtime or extended hours may be required due to business needs or emergencies.
• Work operates in a work-from-home and virtual office environment with a mobile office/company vehicle for transportation to appointments.
• Valid driver’s license with the ability to drive an automobile.
• Physical dexterity to walk, reach, climb, and crawl to inspect damage, sometimes in unfavorable conditions or inclement weather.
• Ability to lift, carry and climb ladders weighing up to 50 pounds for roof inspections may be required.
• May be called upon for catastrophic duty.
• Maintains appropriate adjuster licensing as required by the states in which the company does business.
• Typically requires 10 years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education, and training.
• Claim Adjuster must live within the territory and be comfortable driving to surrounding cities.
• Field Property Adjuster experience (not desk adjusters).
• Drone experience is nice to have.
