Field Property Adjuster - National General
Field Property Adjuster responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for advanced Homeowner's Claims, determining coverage and damages, and adjusting and negotiating claims within authorized limits. Responsible for creating a comprehensive estimate of damages for homeowners first‑party claims leading to proper disposition.
Mandatory LocationMust be based in Milwaukee, WI or live within close proximity to Madison, Kenosha, West Bend, Oshkosh, or Waukesha.
Key Responsibilities- Build functional relationships with both internal and external customers.
- Apply a sound understanding of regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
- Negotiate settlements, make settlement payments and document all activities within authority limits.
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of all policy types written by the company.
- Demonstrate proficient estimating fundamentals to create estimates of damages on advanced first‑party homeowners claims.
This job does not have supervisory duties.

- Field Property Adjuster Cons II: $56,000 – 82,500 per year
- Field Property Adjuster Sr Cons I: $65,600 – 98,200 per year
Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation may include additional components such as incentive pay (e.g., commission or bonus), if applicable.
As a requirement of employment, individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment. Applicants who hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed.
