Southern States Insurance is seeking a persuasive, high-energy Risk Placement Specialist/Marketing Executive to lead our commercial placement efforts. If you are a natural communicator who thrives on building carrier relationships, navigating complex appetites, and negotiating the best possible terms for clients, this is the perfect role for you.

Compensation
  • Base: $75,000–$100,000 + Sign‑on Bonus
  • Year 1 Guaranteed Bonus: $5,000 Minimum

What You’ll Do
  • Drive the Placement Process:
    Secure policy quotes via online rating systems and direct underwriter submissions, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Negotiate with Persistence:
    Actively call underwriters to discuss risks, persuade them to move on pricing or terms, and refuse to give up when faced with roadblocks.
  • Master Carrier Appetites:
    Maintain a deep understanding of what carriers will and won’t write for strategic marketing.
  • Build Relationships:
    Cultivate strong, professional rapport with carrier representatives.
  • Manage Workflows:
    Navigate carrier systems and internal tools to track submissions and follow up on pending quotes.
Who You Are
  • Experience:

    Minimum 3 years in Commercial Lines Insurance.
  • Personality: "People person" with exceptional communication skills and highly persuasive on the phone.
  • Resilience:
    Self‑starter who won’t take "no" for an answer and will fight to find home for a tough risk.
  • Tech‑Savvy:
    Comfortable with various carrier online portals and rating software.
  • Schedule:

    Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM.
  • Location:

    In‑person in Alpharetta, GA, 2–3 days per week.
