Job Description
National General is a part of The Allstate Corporation, offering a range of insurance products through a large network of independent agents and direct consumer channels.
In this role, you will investigate and resolve attorney‑represented bodily injury claims within our Extended Handler Bodily Injury (EHBI) Casualty Unit. Your responsibilities include confirming loss facts for complex automobile accidents, determining coverage, liability, and damages, and negotiating settlements within assigned authority limits. You will also mentor and support junior team members to ensure high‑quality claim handling.
Responsibilities- Determine subrogation or fraud potential and decide on appropriate actions for complex cases.
- Apply advanced knowledge of company policies, industry practices, and organizational relationships.
- Investigate all aspects of complex auto claims—coverage, liability, and damages—using discretion and independence at an elevated authority level.
- Review, evaluate, and negotiate moderate to complex injury claims where applicable.
- Recognize and identify vehicle body parts and potential property damage.
- Identify customer needs and address them using appropriate customer service skills.
This position does not involve supervisory duties.
QualificationsWe seek an experienced Attorney‑Repped Bodily Injury Consultant who is comfortable navigating technology, juggling multiple priorities, and working in CST or EST time zones. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail‑oriented, adaptable, and possesses effective verbal and written communication skills. Experience handling AL injury claims is highly desirable.

Base compensation offered for this role is:
- Adjuster Cons I: $53,500.00–$77,800.00 per year
- Adjuster Cons II: $56,000.00–$82,500.00 per year
- Adjuster Sr. Cons I: $68,500.00–$ per year
Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation may include additional components such as incentive pay (commission or bonus) if applicable.
Licensing RequirementsAs a requirement of employment, individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments during employment. Applicants holding a resident producer license must formally surrender that license if instructed by the licensing team.
