Commercial Pricing Manager (Remote)
Location: United States (Remote; excluding Hawaii and Alaska).
Requisition Number: R7769.
Lead and develop the Actuarial Pricing team, providing coaching, training, and direction across a variety of pricing and analytical projects. Oversee actuarial analyses, support business decision‑making, and ensure high‑quality, on‑time project delivery while building trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain business relationships with internal and external clients through project development.
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new actuarial analysts and consultants; conduct performance appraisals and recommend salary actions.
- Manage the team’s workload, recommend trade‑offs, and demonstrate effective challenge to leadership.
- Review and approve the work of analysts and consultants, ensuring timely completion of projects with high quality.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and constructive feedback to staff, promoting professional growth.
- Build and maintain a collaborative, inclusive, and psychologically safe team environment.
- Communicate analytical insights and recommendations effectively to stakeholders.
- Occasionally travel to enterprise meetings, divisional meetings, and other in‑person engagements as required.
- BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or related field with 5+ years of post‑degree commercial insurance actuarial analysis, OR graduate degree with 3+ years of experience.
- ACAS (Associate in Casualty Actuarial Society) credential.
- 3+ years of experience managing teams in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong decision‑making, leadership, and motivational skills.
- Expert problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation experience.
- In‑depth knowledge of the commercial auto industry and general commercial insurance marketplace.
- Proven ability to prioritize work, organize time, and balance multiple projects.
