Large Loss Contents Property Adjuster at Allstate

• Travel to customers’ homes and handle claims virtually.
• Address escalated claim files with complex contents.
• Conduct thorough coverage investigations and ensure correct policy application.
• Inspect sites, use advanced video technology, collaborate with vendors, and write contents damage estimates.
• Communicate empathetically with customers to facilitate a fast, fair, and easy claims process.
• Negotiate claim settlements with customers following business unit methodologies.
• Coordinate with structure adjusters for holistic claim handling.
• Utilize data and analytics to influence decision making.

• Must have a valid driver’s license.

• Reside within 20 miles of Springfield, MA.
• 3–4 years experience using estimating software, preferably Xactimate for complex contents estimating.
• Prior experience handling property insurance claims.
• Commitment to providing an effortless customer service experience.
• Ability to work independently in the field.
• Creative problem‑solving mindset and view setbacks as opportunities for improvement.
• Organized and able to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.

• The training program builds a claims foundation and covers systems and processes for day‑to‑day work.
• Ongoing on‑the‑job training opportunities for continuous improvement.

• Adjuster and/or appraiser license may be required; obtain license(s) within 60 days of hire if required.
• Individuals with an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments before onboarding and maintain no outside appointments during employment.
• Adjuster candidates with a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed by the licensing team.
• By proceeding with the application process, applicants acknowledge and agree to comply with these licensing requirements.

Depending on Company Car Guidelines, this role may qualify for a company vehicle. Personal vehicle may be required until eligibility is met; mileage reimbursements are provided for personal vehicle usage.

Base compensation offered for this role is $70,000–$115,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
