Job Summary
National General, a part of The Allstate Corporation, is seeking a NEST Supplement Appraiser for a fully remote work-at-home position. The role focuses on creating or auditing comprehensive estimates of damages for first- and third-party material damage claims in auto or specialty lines, handling supplemental repair estimates with non-network repair facilities, and ensuring accurate damage assessments and timely claim resolution.
Key Responsibilities- Create or audit estimates of damages for first- and third-party material damage losses of all severities.
- Understand the content of all policy types written by the company.
- Negotiate settlements, make settlement payments, and document all activities across multiple lines.
- Evaluate settlement alternatives by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices; make decisions on the best option.
- Build mastered relationships with internal and external customers across multiple lines.
This position does not have supervisory duties.
Qualifications and Skills- Strong estimating fundamentals and material damage expertise.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong automotive estimating knowledge and solid insurance claims background.
- Additional state adjuster licenses preferred (role supports multiple states).
- Ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with repair shops, customers, and internal partners.
$28.03 - $42.99 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
