NEST Supplement Appraiser

Job Summary

National General, a part of The Allstate Corporation, is seeking a NEST Supplement Appraiser for a fully remote work-at-home position. The role focuses on creating or auditing comprehensive estimates of damages for first- and third-party material damage claims in auto or specialty lines, handling supplemental repair estimates with non-network repair facilities, and ensuring accurate damage assessments and timely claim resolution.

• Create or audit estimates of damages for first- and third-party material damage losses of all severities.
• Understand the content of all policy types written by the company.
• Negotiate settlements, make settlement payments, and document all activities across multiple lines.
• Evaluate settlement alternatives by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices; make decisions on the best option.
• Build mastered relationships with internal and external customers across multiple lines.

This position does not have supervisory duties.

• Strong estimating fundamentals and material damage expertise.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong automotive estimating knowledge and solid insurance claims background.
• Additional state adjuster licenses preferred (role supports multiple states).
• Ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with repair shops, customers, and internal partners.

$28.03 - $42.99 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

• Fully remote work-from-home position.
• Monthly connectivity reimbursement to help offset internet costs.
• Company-provided technology setup: laptop, monitors, headset, keyboard, and mouse.
• Dedicated, private workspace requirement for home office.
• Minimum internet speeds: 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.
