Auto Damage Trainee

GEICO Auto Damage Trainee Program

Opportunity for a field‑based Auto Damage Adjuster in Albuquerque, NM. Candidates will participate in a paid trainee program consisting of 3 weeks of hands‑on experience at our Ashburn, VA training facility followed by 2 weeks in a field training center (NY, TX, CA) with mentor support.

• Inspect and assess vehicle damage from all types of accidents.
• Estimate repair costs and negotiate equitable settlements.
• Partner with body shops, rental partners, and parts providers.
• Travel within assigned territory to body shops, salvage and tow yards, and customers’ homes to write estimates, inspect damage, and interact face‑to‑face.
• Work independently and with the team to ensure appointments and customer follow‑up are handled in a timely manner.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Critical thinking, decision making, and multi‑tasking skills in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to prioritize work and navigate multiple business applications.
• Experience with KPIs and measurable goals.
• Active Insurance Adjusters license (preferred).

• Starting salary: $25.95 per hour ($52,275 annually).
• Annual salary range: $25.95 - $40.19 per hour.

• Sign‑on bonus of $1,500 for candidates holding an active adjuster’s license.

Field role with assigned GEICO fleet vehicle for the Albuquerque, NM area.
