Intern Actuarial – HHSIBN
The Hartford Insurance Group, Inc. offers a premier actuarial summer internship program designed to prepare students for a challenging and rewarding actuarial career. The 11‑week internship begins in late May 2027 and is a full‑time, on‑site program located at The Hartford’s home office in Hartford, Connecticut.
Internship Details- Full‑time, in‑person internship at Hartford, CT.
- Interns must be physically present for the entire duration of the program.
- Court‑furnished corporate housing is provided near the office.
- Work across all actuarial departments, including Property and Casualty and Employee Benefits.
- Undertake challenging and exciting assignments such as personal and commercial insurance pricing, corporate reserving, data science, and enterprise risk management.
- Participate in training sessions covering R coding, insurance terminology, and actuarial department technologies.
- Contribute to the actuarial community through project work, team‑building events, and social interactions.
- Driven, well‑rounded candidates with strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mathematics, economics, finance, or a related scientific field.
- Passed at least one actuarial exam.
The base pay range for this role is determined by external market analysis. Actual compensation may vary based on performance, proficiency, and demonstrated competencies. The base salary is one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package, which may also include short‑term or annual bonuses, long‑term incentives, and on‑the‑spot recognition.
