Position Overview

We are seeking a Commercial Accounts Account Executive (AE) to partner with agents and brokers to provide property and casualty coverage to mid‑size businesses. This role focuses on underwriting, negotiating, and managing a book of business while maintaining profitability and cross‑selling opportunities. The position is based nationwide with a salary range of $89,800.00 – $.

• Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate relationships with internal partners, create sales plans, and identify cross‑selling opportunities.
• Maintain relationships with external partners, meeting with agents and brokers to market and sell Travelers products.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills.
• Develop and execute agency and regional sales plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Three to five years of relevant underwriting experience in commercial lines.
• Knowledge of commercial lines products, regulatory environment, and local insurance market.
• Strong critical thinking skills, ability to proactively identify underwriting, marketing, or financial challenges.
• Excellent communication skills and negotiation experience with agents and brokers.
• CPCU designation.
• Two years of underwriting, claim, operations, risk assessment, actuarial, sales, product, or finance experience.
