Job Description
Responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for advanced Homeowner's Claims. Determines coverage, damages and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within limit of authority. Responsible for creating or auditing a comprehensive estimate of damages for homeowners first party claims leading to the proper disposition.
We are seeking a Property Field Adjuster to join our team! This role will support Northeast property and homeowner claims, including weather‑related losses such as frozen pipes, water damage, hail, and wind. The position is part of our Premier Division, which services high‑value homes and manages claim losses up to $250,000. The territory will include Rockland and Westchester, NY counties. The ideal candidate will be an experienced adjuster with prior carrier experience and the ability to handle claims from start to finish.
This role involves assessing a wide range of complex damages and working closely with public adjusters, often negotiating claim settlements. Strong communication, negotiation, and diary management skills are essential for success in this position.
- Possesses a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company
- Possesses strong estimating fundamentals in order to create or audit estimates of damages on 1st party homeowners' losses with complexity
- Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers across multiple lines
- Evaluates settlement alternatives by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices; makes decisions on best option
- Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files across multiple lines
This job does not have supervisory duties.

CompensationBase compensation offered for this role is:
- Field Property Cons II: $56,000 - $82,500
- Field Property Sr Cons I: $65,600 - $98,200
- Field Property Sr Cons II: $65,600 - $111,550
Annually and is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation for this role is comprised of several factors, including the base compensation outlined above, plus incentive pay (i.e. commission, bonus, etc.) if applicable for the role.
