• Act as the owning adjuster for injury exposures, managing the claim through to conclusion, including trial.
• Handle complex first‑ and third‑party auto liability injuries, including litigated cases with defense attorneys.
• May manage first‑party medical payment (PIP) and non‑liability injury claims.
• Investigate, negotiate, and settle claims, coordinating with defense counsel to identify negotiation strategies.
• Provide coverage determinations and advise customers on coverage issues.
• Conduct investigative work: interview witnesses, obtain evidence, analyze medical records, and determine the need for independent medical examinations.
• Direct defense counsel, evaluate fees for reasonableness, and resolve billing matters.
• Assess subrogation potential and initiate notice of subrogation requests.
• Make settlement decisions within authority, and present cases to committees for higher authority when necessary.
• Represent insureds at arbitrations, trials, and depositions as required.
• Work across all commercial product lines—including auto, fleet, last‑mile delivery, and trucking—and handle claims involving various vehicle types.
• Mentor, train, and coach other adjusters.

• 6+ years of claims experience.
• 3+ years in a Casualty claims role within the P&C insurance industry, with at least 1 year in a senior Casualty or equivalent Complex Casualty/Litigation position.
• BA/BS in business, insurance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must hold an Adjuster license for all applicable states or obtain the necessary licenses within 90 days of hire.
• Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
• Proficiency or the ability to acquire proficiency in handling minor, moderate, and complex litigated claims.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and investigative skills.

Salary Range: $80,865.00–$ (location‑based). Annual discretionary bonus up to 10% of eligible pay.
